Tropical Vets Ayr has outgrown its current premises, and has a brand new clinic under construction!
The Ayr team are a positive and friendly group, overseen by Tropical Vets Director Dr. Tobin Stubbs.
The Team
Tobin was born and raised on a cane farm in the Burdekin. He always had many pets, from pigs to dogs as well as a barramundi pond.
With a particular interest in orthopaedic surgery, Tobin leads our team in Ayr.
Dr Jemima grew up in the Bountiful Burdekin. From a young age she wanted to be a vet, even having documented this dream in one of her Year 2 school books.
Starting off her vet career at a large mixed practice in Bundaberg, it wasn't long before the pull of the Burdekin was too strong, and Jemima decided it was time to come back home.
To many, Jemima is known for her love of goats ?. She considers herself a true-blue Aussie sheila and in her spare time, she can be found elbow-deep in her garden or knee-deep fishing.
Madi grew up on a cattle property near Richmond QLD. She graduated from JCU in 2017 then spent 3 years working at a mixed practice in Mackay before moving to the Burdekin.
While Madi loves all the variety that mixed practice offers, she has a particular interest in ultrasonography and feline medicine. This might have something to do with Madi being a self-proclaimed crazy cat lady. Her cat Willow won't allow any more cats in the family, so Madi settled for a very loved dog named Moxxi (pictured).
Madi would love to spend most of her free time in the water - Water-skiing, scuba diving or just a swim in the creek. On dry land, Madi likes a good card game and spending time with family and friends.
