The Innisfail clinic was established in the mid 1970s, and moved to its current premises at Mourilyan Road in 1978.
Overseen by Tropical Vets Director Dr. Zane Squarci, the Innisfail team has a crew of dedicated and experienced staff.
The Team
Zane is a North Queensland local. Having grown up in Innisfail he is very used to the humidity and the wet season. Zane started working for us in our Ingham clinic but has now settled at our Innisfail clinic. Zane has a wide range of interests in Veterinary Science.
He enjoys hiking, races both mountain bikes and motorbikes and enjoys exploring what the local region has to offer. Zane is a mad fisherman and especially enjoys spearfishing, with any spare time being spent on trips to the reef. If you want any tips on how to catch a crayfish he is your man.
Amberlee joined Tropical Vets’ Ingham team after graduating from JCU in 2021, before relocating to join our Innisfail clinic in 2024. Amberlee was born in Victoria but was lucky enough to have grown up in the beautiful Whitsundays from the age of 8. Her passion for animals started at a young age on the farm surrounded by dogs, cats, sheep and emus!
After studying a Bachelor of Science with a Zoology major, she worked as a research assistant for 4 years before fulfilling her lifelong dream to become a Vet. When not working, Amberlee enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog Bella, eating good food, seeing friends and FaceTiming family.
Dr Georgia joined the Tropical Vets team in Innisfail after graduating from JCU in 2022.
Georgia grew up in Innisfail on a small property with many animals of all kinds, with much of her time spent training and competing horses. Georgia has wanted to become a vet for as long as she can remember. She loves all aspects of mixed practice, however her passion is with all things horses.
When not at work you’ll find her riding horses, coaching riding lessons, training agility with her dogs or hiking to find a beautiful view or waterfall.
